Will You Marry Me?

FUN... Mike & I are engaged!!

Here we are at Kukenhof, (the most beautiful tulip gardens in the world) in the grand land of Holland!

This is the first picture I took of us after Mike asked me! It was the happiest moment of my life, (even though I wasn't surprised)!

... and this is where it happened!
Orange & yellow tulips in Holland, what could be better! Mikey knew exactly what to do - how romantic!

He was so cute when he asked me... all nervous and soaking wet from the rain! But he said all the right things and even got down on one knee!

I love my Biscuit!

Partick Thistle v Morton

My first football match in Scotland! I went to see Partick Thistle play today with Austin, Jess & Emily. It was pissing down with rain, but the stands were still pretty packed! It was so fun just to listen to all the comments from the fans - pretty intense even just at a Thistle match. It was tied 1-1 in the end.
Of course, it just wasn't the same without Brad there so I did the next best thing and called him during the game! I think I might have made his day!!
Celtic & Rangers are playing tomorrow, I may just hit a Celtic pub!

Brr... look how cold it is! It reminded me of being at Brad's ball games when it was freezing out!

Another Cake... FUN!

I came home on Thursday night and my flatmate, Craig was slaving away in the kitchen cooking up this fun treat for me! It's called a 'clootie dumpling' and it took a lot of work to make. You have to put the batter into a scalding hot, floured cloth, tie it up and boil it for 3 1/2 hours before putting it in the oven for 20 minutes! You can eat it hot, cold, with custard, fried with bacon... basically however you want! I tried it fried with bacon and it was quite grand! I think it weighs at least 10lbs!! Hooray to birthday's!

Yum... Cake!!

My lovely friend, Jules from my class made me a fabulous birthday dinner and baked me this amazing cake from scratch! Her & Ellie bought me a super fun knitting book with instructions on how to knit a pint of Guinness! Nice!

My Coffee Shop!

The Offshore Cafe is my local hangout where I like to send postcards & drink tea before bed! My flat is literally around the corner. It is the first building to the left.

A lovely misty evening!

Glen Finnan

Anyone recognize this bridge???

Hiking in the Highlands

I went on a trip to the Highlands on the weekend with 30 other international students. The first day, we went on a 6 hour hike in Glen Coe. It was incredible, (Erika & Brad would have loved it)!The mist was hanging low all day and it was so peaceful. I want to come back with Mike to do some camping!

The Wee Curry Shop

Yum! This is 'The Wee Curry Shop' on Ashton Lane in Glasgow. I had the best butter chicken I have ever had at this wee place just the other night.
Ashton Lane is one of the best known spots in Glasgow. There are tons of nice pubs, a really cool cinema with leather love seats and strings of lights all along the lane.

Address to the Haggis

Ye Pow'rs, wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o' fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish her gratefu' prayer
Gie her a haggis!

Here is a link to the film that we are working with this term at school. We all had to read parts from the script and take the 'spirit' of the film to form a collection of 3 garments for the fashion show which is on March 13,14 & 15.
